You can easily identify Secret Recipe located on 247 Chapel St., Prahran.
We like the spaciousness and light-filled interior.
You can find a selection of Malaysian and Western dishes on the menu. It's a bit pricey, I must say.
Nasi Lemak with Rendang Ayam, no sambal. Rendang Ayam was tasty :) I was delighted to see the banana leaf.
Nasi Goreng and Satay. Nasi Goreng was so-so but we enjoyed the Chicken Satay.
All in all, there's a lot on the menu to try... tom yum, lamb shanks, and more.

Dear Kayla,
ReplyDeleteAs a student in Melbourne in the 80's, I feel nostalgic going thru' your blog. I'm still going the details, as I've just stumbled upon it.
I'm sure, there're a lot of things happened in between the 80's and now. I've been back to Melbourne in 2008 on a group tour but it was such a short whirlwind trip that I felt I missed a lot of things.
Your blog would surely be a big help for would be visitors to Melbourne (for Melayu Malaysia) especially the halal outlets!
Teruskan dengan usaha murni ini... -Sahlan.
Salam Sahlan,
ReplyDeleteWe're delighted to hear that this blog brings some memories of Melbourne to you. I bet a lot of things have changed too since the 80s. If there's any specific place in the city that you'd like to see through photos, let me know. My husband and I would be happy to do some photo hunting, and who knows, maybe even discover places which me might have never visited before too! Thanks for your encouragement and support :)
