Alasya @ Sydney Rd, Brunswick

Alasya is a Turkish restaurant located in Brunswick along Sydney Rd.
We found that Turkish food has a slightly different taste from Lebanese food tastes that we are familiar. If you go with a family of adults or a group of friends, it would be worthwhile to try out their sets. During the time that we went last year, one set can can serve 3-4 adults, but to get a the cheaper combo package, we had to order 2 sets (price per set is approx AUD25-35). The set includes meat (lamb, beef, chicken) dishes, rice or bread, as well as vegetable dishes and dips. So, it is advisable that if you want to try out the platters that serve different dishes to try, go with a group of 7-8 adults. In that way, each person will only have to spend about AUD10.

The food tasted nice with hints of unfamiliar spices and herbs, but still not too foreign to the Asian tongue. It's definitely something to give a try.

Alasya is located at
555 Sydney Rd, Brunswick, VIC 3056
